History & Background
- Started in 1932 as a wooden shack by a French missionary priest, Rev Father Bonamy
- Except for a brief period of 2 years (between 1943-45) where it was closed during the Japanese occupation, the school has existed till today
- Named after ‘St Anthony’ of Padua, Italy, a most revered saint for his charitable work for the poor and his love for children
- Its motto of Caritas Non Ficta’ means ‘ Charity Without Hypocrisy’ aptly describes Saint Anthony’s marvelous work in true charity
- It reached the pinnacle of education in the study of English and the sciences.
- It also reached the pinnacle of sports excellence with many becoming sport greats and Olympians
- Also expanded to include a basket ball court, an upgraded library, laboratories and school hall which still stands today.
